锘緼dding to the melange of dining options in the Xintiandi area, this
restaurant offers a varied selection of Japanese and Korean fare.

Leek cake with a soy peanut sauce (RMB 28) was a tasty way to begin while
saline miso soup (RMB 15) and bland seafood steamed egg (RMB 10) failed
to heighten our anticipation. The highly recommended salmon roll (RMB
22), rice with Japanese mayo and fish eggs wrapped in salmon sashimi, was
melt-in-your mouth quality while other sushi?selections
were?unexceptional. Our selection of noodles were overcooked but
satisfied; lackluster Korean-style cold noodles (RMB 28) were balanced by
the spicier hot sliced beef with noodles (RMB 38). A limited teppanyaki
selection was dominated by choice cuts of beef with plates averaging
between RMB 70-100鈥搕he high-class beef sirloin topped RMB 458.

Friendly and attentive staff made good recommendations and, though not
extraordinary or distinc tive, the food is respectable given the price.
Try the vegetable and raw meat stone bowl?rice (RMB 48 ) and the trip
will be worthwhile. Perfect for: a reasonably priced repast in a ritzy
area.
